What must artists do differently than they always have done to prepare to participate in the world of research? They must broaden their definitions of art materials and contexts. They must become curios about scientific and technological research and acquire the skills and knowledge that will allow them to significantly participate in these worlds. They must expand conceptual notions of what constitutes an artistic education, develop the ability to penetrate beneath the surface of techno–scientific presentations to think about unexplored research directions and unanticipated implications and learn about the information sources used by scientists and engineers to engage emerging fields, including academic and professional journals, trade shows, academic meetings, Internet resources and equipment supply sources. The art and science cloud based module will provide the students with a global experience of the nature and potentialities needed to engage in this transdisciplinary area of study.
The module will explore the wide variety of experiential attributes that will enable the student to discover a range of new scientific, artistic, linguistic, and philosophical problems requiring exploration inspired by innovative and transdisciplinary methodologies.


This course will:

1) enable students to understand the nature and role of reacting to and creating disciplinarity and anti disciplinarity in art and science practice;
2) enable students to create a framework for the unexpected in the fields of problem finding in art and science;
3) enable students to explore and gain an understanding of experimentation, failure and unpredictability reflected in contemporary cultural practice; and
4) Facilitate the development of self reflective critique through thinking as practice.


Art Science course will assist students in developing the following capabilities and attributes:

1. Scholars’ who understand their discipline in the context of a meta system
2. Scholars who are capable of trust, critical inquiry, experimentation, failure, diversity and pragmatics
3. Professionals who are capable of independent, self-directed and syncretic problem finding


Students need to explore the techniques of doing to be able to show what they think
Theories inform experiences
Embodied informative experience.
The need to experiment with new ways to bring theory into practice based exercises, for example by staging / enact theoretical concepts.
Design installations for Embodied Interaction, you can give the student exercises where they have to examine our embodied basic conditions.
Designing tools / prostheses to reduce certain senses and instead provide an immediate experience of the body's important for spatial experience .

Design is a technique / discipline which can facilitate trans-disciplinary meetings, for example, between art / science.

Experiment theoretically and practically with many different mediums / technologies super important. The use of such video as a sketching tool is invaluable when it comes to time-based experiences, and it would be a good idea to provide better conditions for playing with SMS, keyboards, software, und so weiter.
