The art and science cloud course will be based in critical thinking, enquiry and curiosity that will create an experiential, emergent learning environment. The course will deal with active learning leading to critical thinking and creativity by linking to the social and current reflections on real world scenarios. The course will encourage playfulness, failure, adaptability, critical thinking and embodied experiences. Explore stimulus from other disciplines, approaches, methodologies and terminologies through a transdisciplinary focus leading to super-transferable skills.


This course will:

a) encourage students to understand the necessity in art and science for play, reflection, methodologies, failure and adaption.
b) develop an understanding of disciplinary integrity prior to meaningful transdisciplinary engagement in art and science.
c) demonstrate the importance of trust, the social environment, language, context and concept in the development of art and science practice and theory.


Art Science course will assist students in developing the following capabilities and attributes:

1. Scholars’ who explore the relationships between art and science as a meta-system and a meta-language
2. Scholars who are capable of trust, critical inquiry, experimentation, failure, adaptability, diversity, pragmatics and embodied experiences.
3. Professionals who are capable of, self-directed and syncretic problem finding
4. generate independent and collaborative methodologies and terminologies relevant to the development of meaningful projects

Assessment Brief:
In this project you are required to conceive, produce and present a body of art or design work based on the construction of a game.

Definitions: The concept of the game is to enable the student to develop an exploratory environment based on an engagement of art and science.
The students will develop a game based environment.
The game needs rules,
The game must imply a series of systems that identify history, language, boundaries.
The game is based on
In an open source concept and context.
The game will develop keywords discipline languages and disciplines focused (a multi lingual glossary of terms).
The game is constructed in realtime.

Criteria used for marking: The effective nature of the game in developing the skills needed to participate in the world of art and science.
Meaningful outcomes.

Feedback strategy: The Game must create a feedback strategy that apply to its rules. The game is self assessed according to its own aims.
